Hi!
I’ve been browsing the forum for some time now, and have really enjoyed seeing other peoples work and especially how everyone interprets it. I thought it might be time to post a couple of my own.
Anyway, this calendar was designed and printed some time ago and it was fairly successful. I am thinking about adding it to my portfolio, and therefore would love to get some input as to what you guys think.
I will probably only include 2 months, in the final presentation.
Many thanks in advance.
Mitch

They look fine, the thumbnails bring the piece together well (it's a shame you had to include 'JPS' on them all).
One criticism though, I'm not sure on the layout of the dates. I would prefer if all the weekdays were in rows instead of all mixed up.

Nice job on the design. The layout threw me for a loop, too. I definitely prefer seeing the dates going left to right... but then, I'm pretty stuck in my ways :)
The more people I meet, the more I love my cats.

Hi Reed.
Hope the pressie for your dad went down well, the Hendrix one.
I also felt that more distinction needs to be shown between the weekday and weekends, maybe making the weekends stand out a little more? (maybe a higher value tint or bolder or thinner font?)
p.s. As for the logo - you should see how many logo he originally wanted on each page, plus they were mahooooosive! It was a bit of a pain to get him to agree on this.

looks great.. .why can't you just carry the entire calendar with you? I carry a bag with me that has multipage projects i have worked on (a calendar being one of them)

Hi Morea - I think I'll have another look at my formatting of the dates.
Thanks so far folks...

Hi Defjoe, so do you mean having it totally seperate from the rest of my work??

sure...why not. I have a ton of things I did in full. Magazine, multipage brochures, full size posters. I put the items that can fit into my portfolio nicely and then carry the other stuff in a bag or even get an art box. Just have them presentable. Never had a complaint and have actually had compliments.

I like the kind of almost humerous placement of the turtle and some of the other fish.
