Hey, first post:)
Recently I started a design project with a friend called D&M (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=74705300330).
We're both interested in graphic design and in fashion, and this project is a perfect way to mix the two. Here's the type of stuff we're doing. Critiques please, we'd really appreciate some proper feedback!

Also wondering if anyone could help me with a little problem:
I would like to add some depth to the image and get the pattern to "deform" and follow the folds of the fabric.
I have the original photo which I used to trace this image, and it has all the shadows and the highlights of the shirt.
I have tried using the displacement filter in photoshop, but it totally messed up the pattern...
Does anyone know a solution (preferably with photoshop or illustrator) ?
thanks in advance!

Does the shirt in your original photo have that pattern on it? If so, just use it as a template and pen tool on top of the lines.

No, it's a different pattern.

It looks like you're using Illustrator. Why not use the mesh tool?

This may be a real noob thing to say among these greats of graphics but (if you using photoshop) Cut bits out of the shirt and play with gradients to get a "baggy" effect.
Real noobish thing to say bu im drunk so what the he;ll :D

Your fashion is designed only for patient men. It needs patience to cloth on and off that a lot of star button. :)

If the stars are snaps it would work, button-wise anyone would have to use a thimble to button the shirt. Fashion wise though, what's the underlining of the shirt? the sleeves fold to black.

Will the shirt's lines be perfectly aligned like that at all times, no matter the folds?
Now that would be some fashion designing.
