Please tell me what ya think. If anyone can also see the red in the middle of the man, i want to use that to punch it out on the white man, how can u do it?http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/hop.gif like a cookie cutter. As it stands the red in the middle and the white star are seperate paths.http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I see it at the bottom of the circle. It isn't a complete star. I'm not sure what you mean by cookie cutter. What program are you using?

if you're using illustrator, just make a 5 sided star(you're going to have to change it a little because it's kind of rounded, no big deal) then just scale it down however much you want and make it white and place it over the red space. in the end it'll have the same effect as if you deleted the red..
i heart art

Yeah, thanks Amrpro. It is a complete star and its rounded at the bottom to fit the circle. The bizarre thing is though if at 100% its set exactly to fit the red it leaks some color through. So for some reason its sat maybe 5 pixels lower than the edge of the circle. Im using AI.
What i meant by the cookie cutter is if I select the star paths, could i then select the layer of the red cirlce and bash delete to cut the star shape out of the red circle, thus solving the leaking problem.
You can do this in PS i think.

Yes, you can do it in PS. Ctrl+E to merge the layers or Ctrl-Click the star layer to get the selection, then click on the circle layer and hit delete.

Fusion,
You just need to experiment with the Pathfinder palette in Illustrator... Use 'Exclude overlapping paths' (the rightmost button in the palette's top row) by selecting the circle and the star, then holding down option while clicking the aforementioned button. Then delete the tails of the star that hang below the circle, and voilą: one shape.
