yo hello. I'm going to submit this design to ***************. Apparently if you get enough votes from the members, they'll print it for free, then sell them, soo...What you guys think? I'm pretty happy with it and the color combos are endless!!endless i tell you!!!!

LMAO @ the color combos.
But yea the design is fire! I personally like the first one the best.

I like the wider 'rays' of sun, but I would ditch the face.

it's not a bad graphic at all, with or without a face. it all depends on the color of the shirt.
right now i'm so PANCAKEing sick of those retro 'Crab feed' 'Surf lounge' abercrombie and fitch
ripoff t-shirts you see all these people wearing. it's a trend that went sickeningly south.
i KNOW you people know what i'm talking about.

I'm just fond of a lot of older 60 70's design styles, that's all. If I could i'd screen print all of my works, I'm just really into the older more pure techniques and concepts. Not that this graphic i posted is something really strong or anything, but almost all of my influence is from decades ago.

the problem at *************** is that they have loads of voted designs but they archive all instead of printing them. there are probably 250 designs in their archive (which contains the ones that are 'regrettably' not printed) but only 25-30 printed.

I disagree, if you take out the face, there's nothing left in it, the idea to me would be as good as gone at that point.
EDIT: forgot to say that the first colour scheme is definately the best, I think that would look great on a shirt.http://www.cyber-nhl.net/forums/html/emoticons/yes.gif

That style achieves a lot of visual appeal in its simplicity along with, now, its nostalgic feel and came from a good place and i like it very much, I'm not going to write it off simply because it's overused by some fratboy company..which is tragic..but whatever. When I made the graphic, my fondness for this upcoming season was really the strongest factor in the way it came out. Relaxing warm and pleasant. The thought 'I want to make things that look like trendy abercrombie shirts' never entered my mind.

LOL. I actually wear those, just not Abercrombie, I'm more of an American Eagle kind of guy. Some of them are rather clever.

actually, i take that back ryan <3
if i were given a chance to design them, and they made as much money as these trendwhore shirts, i'd be lovin' it.
but it's frustrating, seeing as how simply these were designed and printed and THEY ARE RAKING IN THE DOUGH!
it makes designers like me who enjoy more....'well-thought-out' designs FRUSTRATED!

That's where pride comes in. If those designers were to sit in a room with artists of our caliber, they would be struck silent in shame, eh?
