Photoshop pen - probably a simple answer

using photoshop which i hate. much rather be in illustrator. i used the pen tool however i made my outline on a new layer. clicked off the outline and all my anchor points disappeared and now i cant figure out how to get them back so i can make modifications.

Open your paths menu and click on your path. (probabaly a work path unless you saved it as a path.)
