Hi there - ok, I understand the principles of a clipping path in illustrator, however, I cant get a few things to work.

I have text (the word CREAM) that has a 3pt stroke on it - when I use the clipping mask with an image (which is made up of grouped objects) and the text, it removes the stroke on the text. How do I avoid this?

I have tried to make CREAM a compound path, but when I mask it with the image, everything goes transparent?

Any solutions please - I'm about to tear my hair out

make a copy of the text with the stroke when you make the clipping mask. paste the text in place on top of the mask you just made keep the stroke but get rid of the fill. there are more ways to do it but that would be an easy one.
