I have a photo that has been converted to so that it only appears as white and shades of orange. I need to change the orange to blue. How can I do this? I think there is a simple way but I can' think of it!
I quark I would've made the image grayscale using photoshop and coloured the image when it was in quark. I am now using indesign for the layout but need to create the same effect. I know there must be a way to do it directly in photoshop.
Thanks

the simplest way I know of is Image>adjustments>replace colour
You can adjust the fuzziness - but there are times when it won't catch everything.
Hope that helps

Not sure if that will achieve the effect I need. The image I already have has been converted to this orange and white by somebody else and now I need to change it to blue and white. It is like a duotone effect but not sure if that is the right phrase. I've attached the image below so you can see what I mean. Like I say Im sure there is a simple way...

Have figured it out now!
I converted the image to grayscale then I converted it to monotone and selected the blue colour. I've seen this effect before but never known how to achieve it!
YAY!! :)

Monotone is fine, but you're going to want to convert it to CMYK if it's going into a printed piece. Otherwise, the ripping software at the printer will create a separate plate for your "blue" color.

Part 1: The easiest way to do this friend...is go to "Select" then "colour range"..
it will then give you the eye dropper tool, select the colour you want to change, hit enter.
(if there are varying tones, you might need to do this action more than once)
You'll then see that the colour is selected.(leave it selected-dont unselect)
Part 2: "Image"-->"adjustments"-->"colour balence".
all you do there is move the scales on the three colours to get your desired colour :)
