i'm working on a new site for a bed and breakfast and wanted to get some thoughts from the board. the b&b is called swantown inn b&b and they are located in olympia, wa. they had pretty specific color selections/swatches and menu placement. some of the ideas varied and eventually, the client felt that each had it's strong points and wanted to 'frankenstein' the 3 versions i presented.
the final concept, #4, is the result and i would appreciate any feedback from the folks here at gdf. thanks much.

i think that you've taken the best elements and stitched them together nicely.
i'd like it if i didn't have to scroll down so far...especially as you already have a scroll bar in the main (white) stage.

I think they're pretty stylish.
I like the sparce use of colour which makes the photos stand out.
I like #1 and the revised one is also good. What about making the masthead not so tall, or putting the logo flush with the top?
Also, the white text on the nav bars doesn't stand out as much as it could?
Very good though.

Number 4 isn't bad at all, the one thing i wasn't wond of was the background color in contrast to the picture. They layout and navigation is clear and to the point. I would prefer a more beige color, but understand that if that is the color the choose then you have to use it. A bit of maroon somewhere would give you some contrast with that particular color. Over all it looks like a warm and inviting place. It does have a soft feel.

thanks for the feedback guys .... there will be a few changes to the header as per client's request. there's not really a whole i can do in regards to the header size, they want to be able to fit in as much of that background image as possible. and, the logo portion will change. they have a specific branding logo with the background image in it. after i add the logo, i'm going to increase the faded effect on the header.
coconut, that maroon idea is great. i'll try and incorporate some of that but i don't know if they'll go for it. i might have to just settle for maroon on the rollover links.
again, thanks everybody.

Graphic Design Heroes! Call me Captain Type Caster. I’ve fought off “The Evil Cosmic Sans” for year but it seems “Dr. Extreme Untalent” keeps bringing him back. I must find a way to defeat this evil creature.
