I just formatted and reinstalled all of my applications for my mac.
I've noticed there are new versions of these applications, particularly Linotype FontExplorer.
I used the free version before of FontExplorer and found that the over interface was much better. However, Fusion had one massive advantage: SPEED.
When scrolling down through a list of fonts, FontExplorer did NOT preview them immediately. Fusion seemed to have a 'pre-cache' feature where pressing the down arrow key over a list of several thousand fonts would give you a preview immediately. With FontExplorer i have to wait a short moment for each font to preview. This *really* bugged me because as nice as the program is, its slow in that sense.
Does the new 'X Pro' version fix this?
Also, which application is lighter on memory/cpu resources?
Thanks!
