To employed designers,
</o:p>
I have written a book tentatively titled “Breaking Into Graphic Design.” I have a contract with Allworth Press who will be publishing the book in August of 2005.
</o:p>
Because the book is about employment, my publisher and I thought it would be a good idea to create a gallery of design resumes. I have never seen one before and I would like to be the first to gather work for such a gallery.
</o:p>
Anyone interested in submitting is encouraged to change the contact information listed on their resume as well as the names of the companies they have worked for for privacy reasons. To be properly recognized leave your name on the resume. Please leave all design elements untouched along with the description of all positions. I can accept submissions in any graphic format as long as the dimensions are close to 8.5x11 and have a resolution of at least 150dpi (I don’t have access to Quark so I can’t accept resumes in that format).
</o:p>
The ideal resume would be from someone that is working as a designer and has been out of college for less than five years. If you decide to submit, your resume will be included in the book's gallery alongside many other talented artists. The deadline given to me by my publisher is December 30, 2004 so I will only be able to include resumes submitted by that date. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you in advance.
</o:p>
Sincerely,
Michael Jefferson
