Hi,

I have to change a page set up in IND for a brochure from 3 panels/pages on to all on single page. (hope that make sense)

Transfering all elements has been working in most of these brochures. I group them and paste in place on the new document with newer set up.

One is giving me a hard time. All elements paste correctly except a group text boxes that are grouped. (reason being is that its text and small graphic/glyph symbols clumped together.) Problem: these text boxes whether grouped or not, all transfer/paste with no text showing and just the little red + on the box.

I tried bringing to the front, checking layers (its only one layer!) and various experimenting. I tried copying them ungrouped. Also when I drag it out to the side and open the box more. all text is there. When I drag it on to the area its supposed to be it disappears, like its a layers thing.

Something is making this text resize or go behind another solid box.

looking for answers....thank you

It's likely that the text just isn't fitting into the text frame in the new document.

This probably because some object has text wrap applied.

Select the text frames in the group using the white select tool.

The go to Text Frame options (object>text frame options) and click the Ignore Text wrap and see if that helps.

Ignore Text wrap is unchecked. Whats strange is everytime I drag the text in the text box over a solid block of color, it disappears and comes up with the red +. I notice that the whole brochure content is set up over a pic box with text boxes and blocks of color in it.

Still messing with bring to front, back options, etc

Have you tried selecting all elements on the page and then checking if ignore text wrap is checked? There might just be one element that is screwing the whole thing up that still has text wrap on.

Select the solid colour and open the Text Wrap panel (under Windows).

Make sure the boxes have no Text Wrap on them.

You need to make sure that the "Ignore Text Wrap" check box is checked, not unchecked, in order for it to work.

Also, in your preferences, you can try setting the text wrap options to only apply when text is under an object with text wrap applied.

Or, as was already suggested, remove any text wrap that might be applied to the solid color boxes.
