Anyone work with this before? We just had a meeting with a client and discussing content management for a website we are doing.
Through this meeting we found that there are a few people at the company changing online content using Adobe Contribute. I was briefly shown it onscreen and it's use. Seems like a web page editor for idiots (Dreamweaver merged with Microsoft Word software without the coding ability).

Anyways...we tested it to make sure it will read our new pages but I wanted to get peoples thought on it.

Thanks

I've looked into it. It seems like you make the templates and all that and then less than web savvy people can use Contribute to update the content.

I guess it's new and and hasn't taken off yet.

I haven't used it before, but some of the people here use it for routine updates to their own sections of the website. From what I've gathered from our official web folks your assessment "Seems like a web page editor for idiots (Dreamweaver merged with Microsoft Word software without the coding ability)." is pretty accurate.

I do know that our webmasters aren't that impressed with the code it generates, but in the hands of the not utterly incompetent it seems to render OK in the various browsers.

^yeah that's pretty much it. I was wondering though what peoples experiences were.

I am going to try to talk the company into not using it. Thanks!
