I'm getting much better but still learning...
Yesterday, I was using Photoshop, and these "pink/purple" lines/guides started showing up when i moved the layers around. It's a really nice feature, it helps keep everything in line.
How did I accidentally turn this feature on? I'm glad I did, but i'm curious how.
Thanks

Sounds like 'smart guides'. I think this was introduced into PS in CS4, which I don't have, but it sounds like that's what you have turned on.

Yeah that is smart guides. Here is an exerpt from Adobe Help 1.1:
'You can use Smart Guides to help align shapes, slices, and selections. They appear automatically when you draw a shape, or create a selection or slide. You can hide Smart Guides if you need to.'
(they are purple/pink in colour)
Hope this has helped :)

Thanks!! That's exactly it, cause I unchecked "smart guides" and they went away.
CS3 for sure, because that is what I'm using.
