What I Did This Past Weekend ...

My Niece is very much into Skulls now so just having her room redone and having skull curtains and comforter set she asked me if I could paint a big skull on the wall for her.

My first thought was ughhh I'm no painter lol ... but if you want me to try I will.

So I made a little sketch:

Here is the finished product - it's about 3 feet by 5 feet. My arm and neck still hurt lol :p

... and I know skulls can't smile .. but I didn't want to make it too evil looking ;)

It won't win any awards but she loves it and I think it turned out ok for my first go at this.


I created a monster though now my littlest niece wants a rainbow and ...... hold your breath .... Unicorn :D

It reminded me of a tattoo as well.

She isn't Goth in that sense .. she just likes Skull art .. and she has skulls on most of her clothing ... but it's not dark and brooding type clothes .. it's hot pink and zebra prints lol :D

I would have killed to have an awesome mural in my room as a kid! Way freaking cool Kittie! All I had was pee-yellow colored walls growing up, then we moved and I had baby-blue walls in my new room... lame! Never anything nearly as awesome as that! Nor anything NEARLY as cool as a unicorn that is farting rainbows!!!

Although I was allowed to draw all over the walls in the closet. Yeah, you could say I was in the closet a lot as a kid... :p

I just painted my bathroom and I'm planning on a hand painted paisley border to help tie in all the colors that are in the room (salmony-pink tiles, brown beige and green shower curtain, light creamy beige towels and lots of baskets). I'm quite the procrastinator though, I'm afraid of screwing it up or it just ending up looking crappy.
