canvas effect

hi im trying to get the cancas effect that this picture has, the closest i got was to make 2 layers and water paper one and make it transaperent, but that sucks
i want somthing exactly like this and only use adobe photoshop...

help me please :(

The first thing you have to do is to find a background similar to this one (canvas texture) and mix the canvas texture with a dark gray layer. Set the canvas layer to multiply or screen, you will have to adjust your opacity. On a new layer draw a white shape and apply a gaussian blur and set this layer to overlay. Create different shape to obtain light and shadows effect. Slice your first plan image and paste it just after your texture effect...
