Has anyone heard of oem-box to purchase products? I wish to purchase Indesign CS3 for a Window machine and the price was $99. Anyone have an idea why this is so cheap? **link removed**

they are the dummy version of retail software... without warranty, boxes or extras usually.

They are generally meant to be sent out as already installed copies on computers. So say you buy... creative suite and a new laptop from the same people.
the place you buy it from puts an oem version for cheaper on your computer and gives you a 'deal' because they used a oem version.

They often not upgradable with adobe from my experience. For a business or agency I would recommend not doing it. For personal use... maybe worth it, just depends.

Something that seems too good to be true usually is.
Wait 'til you try to register with Adobe...
