I hear ya too Drorain! It's one of those 'suck ass' days here too! This job sucks. We never have enough work to keep us busy but they bitch about our 'numbers' not being high enough. I have too much other crap to do to be sitting here waiting for work. Argh!! TUESDAY SUCK!!!!

I can't believe that I was hired to handle 'advertising and design work' and the company is calling their old freelance designer to do the work. /emoticons/violent.gif

We have to remember that the customer signs the checks that keep us employed. Usually, in fact, the 'problem clients' are the most lucrative because of their many revisions and crazy production requests (weird die cuts, multiple varnishes, flourescents, embossing). That alone should keep your gun in the holster under your desk. Cool it, and remember to add the old 'file handling' fee to your invoice.

yeah... its just one of those days. not angry or anything like that, just feeling down. not going anywhere. sad. just sent myself an email saying everything'll be alright. isn't that terrible? i'm usually very happy. oh well, maybe the sun will be out tomorrow.
let us be thankful we have commerce. buy more, buy more now. buy... and be happy.

Debz, your customer reminded me of a story...
I heard a preacher last week who was raised a Muslim, but converted to Christianity in the 80's when he was a teenager. He once asked his Turkish father for a leather bomber jacket from his dad one day (remember those?). He said his dad took him to the nicest mall in Columbus, OH and the nicest store in that mall to get said jacket. The father then walks up to the counter points at the bomber and asks the 16 year old girl 'How much do you want for that piece of junk?' The girl started crying, and his dad ended up getting the coat at 50% off and there was no sale that day. That's how it is done in many countries, but not usuallly America. The same preacher said that if you go to an open air market in Isreal and see a Persian Rug you like, you should ask: 'How much do you want for this ugly piece of garbage?' To which the shopkeeper will reply 'What are you talking about? This rug is more beautiful than your mother.' And so the negotiation begins...

I found a way to entertain myself and frighten co-workers into leaving me the hell alone.
I carried a letter around for a while and talked to it in front of others. When they asked me what I was doing I told them (quite calmly) that I was talking to the mail because it seemed sad.
