It is officially listed on the Apple site that the Snow Leopard upgrade will only work on the Intel Mac.

Has anyone heard any rumblings regarding Adobe CS5???

Only that it might hit towards the end of the year.

I need to check to see how many PPC machines we have here.

I swear my tech guy has the inside scoops since he updated me with new machines last year. Whew.

I can't remember if my laptop at home is Intel chipped or not *fingers crossed*

If not, you don't upgrade. For a designer that isn't so much an issue. For a printer...

I'm just curious if Adobe CS5 comes out at the end of the year if it will still support Leopard and the G5s with Snow Leopard coming out supposedly in September.

I would assume CS5 will be the g5's last hurrah.

CS5 is scheduled to come out in spring 2010. They are on an 18 month cycle. CS4 came out the last week of September 2008 so CS5 would be scheduled for next March. They always seem to be a month or so late though so I would look for it in April or even May 2010.

18 months. Almost as long as an elephant. Fitting. :D

Well, it is official (http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq/) (Under "Support for the PowerPC platform) that CS5 will NOT support Intel Macs.

Syphon, sorry, you got that backwards ;)

Adobe intends for future versions of the Creative Suite range of products to run on Intel based Macs with no support for their installation on PowerPC systems.
