Change the host entry on a mac?

Hi GD forum,
how do I change the host entry on my mac (10.3.4) so that the domain name resolves to the test IP address and not the live one?

how can I do that on my PC for that matter?

Are you running a server on your computer? I'm not sure I follow you. What IPs are you referring to?
