Frutiger or not?

Hi Folks

I've been asked by a client to 'reproduce' a logo he had done some time ago.

Here's part of it:

I initially thought this was Frutiger 76 Black Italic but somehow, it just doesn't seem right.

Certainly, it's been expanded slightly, but seems even 'thicker' than Black Italic.

Any thoughts? Thickened and expanded in Illustrator or, a completely different typeface?
