I have a client who runs FlexiEXPERT 7.6 v2, SP2 build 0854 on their production computer (one user, XP Pro SP3, 3GB RAM, 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Quad, 500GB drive with 339GB free). All files are stored on the machine, so no network loading of anything.

The problem is that every so often, sometimes a few times a day, Flexi will simply crash. The production guy will tell me that sometimes he'll notice colors are different within the file (as in changed completely) and then Flexi crashes (back to Desktop with no error screens).

I don't this program and when I've contacted the maker, the only "help" I get is to purchase the latest version. While I understand it may be a better version, telling that to the store owner is not an "easy answer" considering today's economy.

So, I'm hoping I can find some answers in this forum.

If I haven't supplied enough information, please let me know. I'm just a 'Computer Guy'. :D

1. Get your files off that machine. Get them stored or backed up outboard immediately.

The problem may be a simple matter of a corrupt pref file, or not enough scratch space for the program. How much free space is left on your disk?

Or it could mean there is something corrupt within the Flexi program itself, in the connection to the Rip if one is being used, or in the OS itself.

When was the last time Flexi was re-loaded?

I perform a backup of the files for this particular machine every night onto the primary backup computer -- then duplicate that backup onto an additional machine. Every night.

Of the 500GB drive there is 339GB free.

The machine that Flexi is running on was new in Nov of 2008, that would be the last time that Flexi was loaded.

Thanks for the quick response. :)
