Does anyone have any make/models of keyboards that are USB corded, with a regular key layout and both Mac and Windows keys?

I know Logitech makes them sometimes, my Father has one that's 3yrs old so sadly no longer made.

I'm looking at something like the "Logitech Illuminated" model they have now, with the low rise keys and such but no MAC symbols.

Sadly... it's a hard feature to google, and Microsoft/Logitech are pretty bad for responding to such questions. Thought I'd see if anyone here has seen or has something like what I'm after.

Thanks

can I inquire as to why someone would need this?

I have a PC and a MAC, one on either side of my desk.

In the middle I have 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and 1 monitor. These are connected to a KVM switch. I hit CTRL twice quickly and my keyboard/video/mouse switch between systems. Nice setup, works fine... but this MAC keyboard I have is a piece of poop... if you don't hit the keys dead on centre they lock up and don't work. I get a lot of mistype, and many missing A's since that key is the worst.

So, want a new keyboard, and would like both sets of keys.

Like I said I know they make them... my Dad has an older Logitech Navigator with both sets, and I have seen new ones as well, but because of the KVM switch, I have to have a USB corded one.

Ya, not many people seem to use it but it's VERY handy. Especially since I like the PC for games, MSN, and Flash (since my older MAC locks up with Flash).

Though... almost all KVMs use the Scroll Lock key for toggling between computers. Problem is when you switch to MAC you're screwed because no Scroll Lock. IOGear makes a KVM that you can choose between using the Scroll Lock, or the CTRL key.

I wish you could choose which key, but... CTRL works fine between both systems.

Yup! Upside is also, as long as I get a standard USB Keyboard it'll work on the KVM. I was looking at the Logitech Illuminated because had the flat low keys and standard layout. Sadly $100. They have a $30 one the k300 as well, but has a laptop keyboard layout which I hate using. Go figure the nice one is the pricey one.

Just hoped that someone may have known about another make/model out there with both sets of symbols.

But ya, IOGear KVM USB switch... if you have both computers and don't want to have 2 sets of mice and keyboards on your desk this works great for I think $45.

Oh, that's the style I am after when I say flat/low keys.

Does this thing work for you:

It's still $129 though.

That's pretty cool actually... I gather the dial thing must be for audio editing?

Sadly, I need the arrow keys like on a standard keyboard. I'm a bit of a gamer. :(

I thought the dial thing was the arrow keys. But it looks like the arrows are those little blue things below it.

Wish the image were bigger but looks like a dial, the description also says for Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Apple Final Cut Express which are all audio/video editing programs so makes sense that it's a dial for moving along a time line.

Click on Product and go to the DV keyboard that way. More views and specs. Those definitely look like arrow keys. The dial is a frame advancer for video.

Definitely not arrow keys then... description says its an outter wheel and an inner wheel. The divets are just to put your finger in while you spin it.

"The shuttle (outer) ring allows play and hold at the speed you want (turns 90 degrees in either direction), while the jog (inner) wheel allows more finite frame by frame control The faster you spin the wheel, the faster your video moves."

Oh, just saw the interactive demo. Dial for sure.

Right, but below the dial are four blue buttons. Can't tell if they have arrows on them though they are configured for them.

Oh, way down and over... I was looking where the arrow keys are on a traditional layout. I'm surprised they put them there on the wrist rest, you'd think they'd be constantly hit by accident.

For gaming I wouldn't be able to reach the rest of the keys quick enough though, and the cost factor... ideally just after a standard layout with better keys than this MAC keyboard has.

Thanks though for the suggestion.
