chances are this will sound real sad but im comin out with it anyway. im usin painter 5.0 as my sole renderer (woah dark ages) an kant get round pixelation (esp. any type of line drawing). i been checkin out a lot of other peoples work its hard to pick up on any pixelation, all smooth edging. any ideas? theres bound to be an obvious solution but i kant for the life of me work out wat it is. does the pixel per inch setting determine the 'grain' of an image? i dunno maybe my technique is shot. any help would be much appreciated

I've never used Painter, but it sounds like you either aren't using the anti-alias settings, or you are exporting as an overcompressed JPG, which you need to lower the compression.

If you're using a resolution of 72 dpi, that's the problem (especially for line art, which should be at 1200 dpi).
