i just hired a new gd, and because of that i had to Add a new user account to thier computer so i can take off the old user...
since its a new user account, the properties and preferences in all apps have been reset. (which usuallly isn't a big deal)

but when they open CorelDraw 9, there is no 'FILE, EDIT, VIEW, LAYOUT, EFFECTS....' Bar at the top, its completely gone!!

i have never encountered this before, and i couldn't figure out how to fix it... so i had to have him login as the Old user account just so he could use CorelDraw....

anybody know how to fix this, or what might be wrong???
it is running on Windows 2000 pro...

It may be a corrupted workspace, but it could also simply be someone's shutoff the menu bar.

To check on the latter: Ctrl-J, brings up Options panel, then on the left tree, click open 'Customization', then 'Command Bars' and check to see that the top choice 'Menu' is selected in the left pane. The 'okay' out to the main program.

You can also just hold down.

If this doesn't work, there's holding down F8 while launching Draw-- this resets everything to the default workspace.

Now that I think about it, back when I worked on an absolutely EVIL Wincrash machine with Corel Draw, I think I had the same problem. I think I reinstalled Corel Draw to fix it, but I can't quite remember as it was about three-four years ago.
