Made this for some friends... want to get the blasted thing finished up and framed. Any feedback before I do?

I think that you could paint the background with some very light green shade to unificate the scatted elements (sorry if my concepts are wrong, please correct me)

do you mean some kind of pattern in the background? I have to be careful not to put too many graphic elements in place, because I don't want it to get too distracting from the script. . . what do you have in mind?

Ummm i think it looks fine for what it is. I just used 'Arnold' on a project yesterday, for an irish project, I never get to use that font much....I say go with it!

morea, what I mean is that your design have many elements that distract, like the sharp end of the branches, or the typographic line, so I think that if you use a very light colorized background, that elements will be integrated... (I hope that you understand me... /emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif )

I think the parchement will do that for her REG. Especially an old yellowed kinda blotchy type of parchment.

PD is a grande format digital print dude. His advice/opinions may not apply to the 4color/offset/web world of printing

Looks great morea. The subtle gradient on the branches works well here. I agree with keeping it fairly simple so nothing takes away from the text.

nice work!

thanks guys! it's hard to tell from the picture what the finished product will look like on the actual paper, but it is wonderful splotchy paper. If I get it done early I'll try to post a photo of the finished, framed version.

I do this kind of thing from time to time and usually have a lot of fun with it. /emoticons/tongue.gif
