Sorry I couldn't be more specific in the title, but I don't know how to ask this question properly!

I have to submit artwork for some special packaging material, and due to the nature of this process, I have to submit a graphic with 25 identical copies of the same 'label' all in a row.

For the meantime I used guidelines and copy/paste to duplicate the graphic, and while in this instance I did get everything aligned very nicely, it was a long and painstaking process.

Is there any automated way in Illustrator to take a an object or group of objects and duplicate them in some meaningful way, like tiling?

Yes.
Object>Transform>Move
Set your move directions using horizontal and vertical (if in a row vertical = 0). Rember to add the dimension of the first box to the move dimension for correct spacing. Then choose Copy. Once the first one moves, hit cmd+D and they will keep lining up.

Good luck.
