Hello, I'm new on this board. I'm starting a graphic design business on the net and I just created a logo for it. Can someone here critique it? The link is here: http://zgraphics.jvswines.com/torch/index.html- Thanks!

I'm no pro by any means, but it seems a little un-balanced (left heavy), maybe because the bottom of the first 'T' is so much lower than the bottom of the 'G', i dunno really!?!

I think that the typographic font need more boldness.

I like the concept but when I first opened it I thought of wind sails.

'I will become the most powerful Jedi ever!'
'I'm the damn designer, bitches!'

I would try some different typefaces because that one isnt working. also, make the flame look like a flame instead of sails.

i think the image would look more like a flame if you had the left-most section point in the opposite direction. a simple fix that would pull it off. i disagree about the typeface, i think it works. what doesn't work is the 't'. it is apparent that you simply enlarged it proportionally so it's thicker than the rest of the text, therefore becoming dominant and overpowering.

'Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.' -- Isaiah 5:20

Looks good man, before you finalize it adjust the kerning on the word, specifically between the G and H need a little less space, I'd also tuck graphic design up once in illy, that should do it for me

Looks pretty good to me with a few minor modifications. I would suggest redrawing the flames to look more 'flame-like' or if not, maybe flip the flames the other direction over the 't'...the bottom of the 't' flips to the right, so make the flames swoop left. Obviously just my opinion, you may like the flames as they are.

I'd say overall it looks pretty good for someone just starting out.

Welcome to the board Huki!

I agree about the 'T' not looking quite right. I like the concept though. Century Gothic rocks!

Match in the gas tank, boom boom.

Alright, I'll try that. Thanks for the comments. I will upload the new one soon.

Might be little late to voice my opinion, but it really looked like you were a canadian company! IF you are then great, show off the pride, if not... weeeelllllll

Nice though, no other suggestions other than the ones already posted!
