I also posted the original image...I hope the content doesn't offend anyone, I just decided to mess around with this stock photo. Do you guys think this would be too morbid for a portfolio piece? I might use it in a student show unless someone there objects. I have another piece up for critique here (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/default.aspx?f=15&m=99705)

Congratulations. I'm not one who is easily disturbed, and that image did disturb me. Pretty neat though, but I wouldn't recommend that as a portfolio appropriate piece. As for the student show, though, if it's more of a fine art show than a graphic design show thing I'd definitely put it up. I can't imagine that would be too offensive and even if it is, it's still good to get a response of some sort, and I'm fairly certain that the piece will get responses.

Wowww!!...it´s scary!!... If you have a serie of images in that style it´s ok... but if this is the only one creepy image, maybe can cause some repulsion. Good job.

I find it hard to believe that more people have not commented on this. Very nice work. I think it depends on what type of interview you are going on to include it in your portfolio or not. I would remove it for corporate type interviews.
There was a guy that sold prints of a gothic/morbid type stuff - off hand I forget what his website was......when I get home I might have it bookmarked somewhere.
Again - great work
I wish I had something clever to put here.......

Good work. Reminds me of the girl I 'gave birth' using different pics.
You can still put it on you portfolio as a prove on your photoshop technical competence. Or maybe hybrid it together with another design.

thanks for the comments everyone...It is sort of macabre, but I'm not trying to make a statement or anything using a baby, it was just a good pic I had. I just need to work on my photoshop knowledge. I used a lot of tools I had never used before. I might do some similar stuff, but use an adult instead of a baby.

awesome... that's some good photoshop! i think that it would be a good per-client portfolio piece. it might be good portfolio piece for someone needing some photoshop manipulation, but it might not be such a good piece to show to a client wanting you to do a bank's annual reports. but once more, very very nice.

I like to adult teeth - gives it that 'from birth to the grave' look. I like the image. I agree that putting it in your portfolio depends on who your presenting to. Might be a bit much for a church group. ;)
