client logo ... thoughts?

the last one on the list was the original concept, the first is the finalized logo. wanted to get some thoughts from across the board ... thanks.

I personally like the original, but out of the others I like the first one.

I had the same thought as Mike tbh... For some reason, on the first one, i don't like the word 'Chicago' being black!?! I can't really explain why, it just doesn't feel right to me.

I like the first one as well, what if the figure was the same colour as the chicago text? might look ok and cut down on a colour when it comes to print time

yeah, that change has been made ... the figure and 'chicago' are now red.

That looks really sharp. Have you tried tucking the word chicago in a bit more to the left so that it lines up with an imaginary line tracing down along the angle of the italicized L? Man, that sounds way more confusing than I mean it to. Basically, the O in chicago is sticking out too far for my eye. I'd at least want to try it pushed back a couple of points. I may be wrong, but then again...

Have you tried making the figure and the 'Chicago' both black instead of both red? I suppose that might give you a more conservative look, depending on your clients wants.
