poster/flyer for hardcore show

did this for my friend's band.
a bit of background: there used to be a venue in ojai that did tons of awesome shows, it got shut down. now there is a new venue opening in ojai across the street from the old one and this is their first show.

Great job,

I can already tell just by looking at it, the kind of music that will be playing, the type of social scene I can expect to encounter & the soviet inspired typeface is suprisingly & sufficiently legible. The only thing I would consider is the application sizes, & how that might adversly effect the 'bands' typeface as it progresses to the bottom. On smaller application & without color contrast (b/w fax or flyer) it may become increasingly hard to make out the last few band names. Also I would shrink & revert '...flyer design...' to a more contemporary font so that there is no mis-interpreting who was responsible for this creative piece :). Very nice.

- I used up all my sick days...so from now on - im just going to call in dead.

thanks for your comments. i actually have a black and white version modified to stand up to photocopying (i've spent my fair share of time in front of the xerox machine)

Aww man you got me all hyped up when you mentioned hardcore show in the title.
Looking at the poster subliminally makes me think that KMFDM is going to be at the show... Looks good, the 'O' that looks like the Green Lantern symbol throws me off a little.

Match in the gas tank, boom boom.
