Just tried this one out today. If you have installed the Acrobat 6 plugin on IE, just to the right, of the Acrobat icon on the top right of the toolbar, there's a little triangle that will reveal a list that includes 'Adobe PDF Explorer Bar'.

What a great, much quicker way of browsing your PDF (as oppposed to opening/viewing/closing in Acrobat)!

I use Firefox for almost everything else-- but this alone is enough to keep Explorer around.

It's hard to get rid of IE anyway, it's so integrated with windows. Which is why Firefox is so safe.
I will look at this thing you speak of.
