Transparency Tween?

Hi all,

I have made an animation, in which, text is following a curved path. Works great. Now I would like the text to be transparent at one side(to start) and tween to fully visible on the other side (when finished).

I have applied the interactive transparency tool and this is what I get.
Frame 1 = text is transparent.
frame 2 = text is fully visible.

I would it to take several frames to slowly make the text visible.

Any suggestions?
