Looking to meet designers?

I have noticed that the presence here on this forum is primarily internet only. I was recommending a site: www.meetup.com. It is a good networking site to find other designer or people of similar interest in your area. Hope it can help anyone.

I like your thinking TheVike, myself and a friend were thinking about fire bombing a local new media associations monthly mixer but don't trust ourselves with matches around flamable liquids. Anyone know any good links to hire a bombers?

i've been to the meetup site for my city. the venue that they meet at is kinda crummy (ie. not a bar) and who has time to meet with a load of unemployed sober designer-types?
