I had a friend send this to me...some interesting stuff here

GEORGE W. BUSH
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20520

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Law Enforcement:

I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the
influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's
license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been 'lost'
and is not available.

Military:
I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a
drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the
Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

College:

I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a
cheerleader.

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business
in Midland, Texas, in 1975.

I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company
went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock. I bought the Texas
Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer
money.

With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry
(including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:

I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making
Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston
replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.

I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in
borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American
history.

With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's
appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing the
popular vote by over 500,000 votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal
record.

I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one
billion dollars per week.

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any
12-month period.

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the
U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans
lost their jobs.

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in U.S. history. My 'poorest millionaire,' Condoleeza
Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her (which sails under a
Bahamian flag to avoid US taxes).

I set the record for most campaign fundraising trips by a U.S.
President.

I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most
corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends,
Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in
U.S. history, Enron.

My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to
assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election
decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent
investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent
investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history
and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry
was revealed. I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S.
history.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded
government contracts.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than
any President in U.S. history.

I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in
the history of the United States government.

I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S.
history.

I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations
remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspector's access to U.S. 'prisoners of war'
detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any
President since the advent of television.

I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by a president in
any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August, I
presided over the worst security failure in U.S.
history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center
attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country
in the world.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to
simultaneously protest against me in public venues (15 million people),
shattering the record for protests against any person in the history of
mankind.

I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
preemptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I
did so against the will of the United Nations,
the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.

I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in
duty benefits for active duty troops and their families-in wartime.

In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking
Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends.

I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans
(71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and
security.

I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to
justice.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's
library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my
bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public
view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President,
attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and
unavailable for public review.

I've lived through 9 presidential administrations including Nixon. And I believe this one is by far the most corrupt administration since I've been alive. I'm not a democrat or a republican. I vote for the person not the party. I'm almost ashamed to say that I voted for this one based mostly on the lack of faith in Gore and my admiration for his father whom I thought was a good president. I have learned from my mistake. I wish I had more faith in my fellow citizens to do the same and get this bunch out of office. /emoticons/icon_cry.gif

I'm writing in Pat Buchanan this one, you saw in a previous post why I was angry at bush, and I wont vote kerry because he is the most liberal of dems in the senate, I like keeping the money I earn.

well kool,
it would appear that it doesn't matter who you voted for - it was a stolen election anyway.
up here, we are currently resigned to the fact that we are 'sleeping with an elephant' - in this case, it's one with a southern duh-rawl who leaves oily stains on the sheets.

I actually like to hear from the more 'mature' crowd in this forum. I hate Bush. I hate what he has done and what he is doing. I'm not a huge Kerry fan either (even though I'm from MA). It's going to be a tough election cause bother candidates stink IMO.

but one thing about me is I get nervous when we change presidents. I HATE it. I get use to one guy and then..gone. you go into the unknown. But this time around... for the first time in my life I want the incumbent out! I despise him so much I would rather take a change with an unknown then what we have now.

I wish Jesse Ventura was running!

I'm staunchly anti-Bush...always have been. He's the biggest pancakeing fool on the planet. I didn't like his father very much, either. I find it amazing that so many people are unware of Bush's past. The majority of stuff in the original post isn't news to me. The problem is that people rely too heavily on tv and mainstream newspaper coverage of politics, when the reality is that it all comes from basically the same few media outlets. Between AOL/Time Warner, Viacom, Tribune, and a few others, the information that the mainstream public gets is watered-down and simply regurgitated. I can't beleive anyone would vote for Bush. And by the way, I'm not a huge Democrat. i voted for Nader in the 2000 election, which I realized was a HUGE mistake.

Drorain, don't make the same mistake I did by voting for Buchanan. That guy has even less of a chance of winning than Nader. Vote for Kerry, not because he's a great guy (becauses, most likey, he's not), but because he's the only one with the slightest chance to beat Bush.

By the way, if you want a good alternative source of news, try this out. (http://www.warblogs.cc/)

The days of Harry Truman are gone forever.
It would be really funny if this was the year that The Mouse did win (my favorite tally is how many people write in Mickey Mouse).
The government is full of overpaid, lying bums who don't give a crap about what their constituents want. From the local selectmen all the way to the President.

But seriously, ya gotta vote for the lesser of two evils. If you can't vote for - vote against. Don't throw it away and don't not use the privelage. If enough people don't vote, what would you do if they decided to legislate that it was up to the Electoral College to decide. Without input. There ain't nuthin collegiate about that bunch. Use it or lose it, man.

Specialization is for insects...

last toronto election, i found out that there is a way to 'legally' destroy your ballot - not vote, but have the vote counted as someone who is 'opting out' because there is no one they feel they can choose. would that not be an option? the only way it would work is if you did it en masse, but hey - aren't you a visual communicator? couldn't you launch a grassroots campaign?

DOWN WITH APATHY! Down With Apathy! down with...aw, forget it.

Booooooo. Reagan was a shmuck.

Drorain, I thought artists were supposed to be liberal!? I can at least simpathize with the Libertarian point of view, I guess. And granted, I'd rather have Pat B tha G Dub, but if you allow him to stay in office (by voting for someone with no chance), you may lose a LOT of rights, including free speech which we all know and love as communicators. I don't want ANYONE telling me what I can and can't listen to, say, or do because of some bullsh!t moral crusade they feel they must pursue. Especially when it's coming from a half-retarded cokehead pseudo Bible-thumper. (Read Al Franken's newest book for more info on that.)

Sorry for getting all fired up, but I'm pretty damned sick of this administration and I'll do anything it takes to remove their asses.

That book is for preaching to the choir, You could read Pat B's book or Sean Hannity, or Bill oreilly 'Who's Looking out for you.' Now as far as artists being liberal, I dont get why, I am conservative mostly, Pro life, all for freedom of the press, AGAINST Affirmative action, a form of racism...All people should make it on merit, not on skin color. Ya I am old fashioned or 'conservative' i also wish all those f-ers that come from another country would actually work instead of live on welfare.

I'm sure I stirred up a hornets nest now, I'm speaking in general tho, not singling out anyone
