I'm a freelance designer working on a national packaging project.

Who needs to buy the licensing to the font I'm using...the client or me?

If the client isn't using it on one of their computers, should I buy it and then bill them? What's standard? Or because it's for national packaging, do they need to be on record owning it?

I'm not an expert, but if your client wants to use that font then have them purchase it directly, since you are using it on behalf of the company, and they are employing you. But don't take my word for it.

What happened to all the other posts in this thread?
The opener is an old post and had been answered by several people.

I think allen was talking about it in another thread that if the thread gets old enough that the web filter automatically goes in and deletes random posts out of it....last I heard allen was supposed to be looking into it.
