i have an Espon RX420, just under a month old and only now i got a problem. i've asked epson and they say there is nothing wrong... im sure there is!

when i print off the computer (photoshop, illustrator, word etc..) for some reason it prints out everything a little darker than on screen... however, when i do a colour photocopy, the copier prints it out the same... the problem lies within the connection/colour settings between the printer and computer...

please help... it is getting rather annoying and aint doing me any good for my projects!

You will never get a printer to match your monitor (especially an all-in-one).
The reason your photocopies work is because the scanner is calibrated to its internal printer.
You can come closer if you calibrate your monitor to your printer. But you would be better off trying to match printer and monitor to the PMS color system instead (again that may be tough in an all-in-one unless you are using specified Epson paper products).
Do a google for monitor calibration.
There have been a few threads here too.

I was just reading a good article on the apple web site about color calibration of your devices & tutorials that show you how to set your programs up.

You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs on this forum. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bo staff.

some one told me that it might be because when i ever i work in Photoshop, im using the RGB colour mode... i should be using the CMYK if its for print. so i changed modes and realised that now on screen, the image looks slightly darker, exactly like it prints! lolz

i knew there was nothing wrong with this hot ass baby printer!
