Ok so I just set up a new artserver with distiller running and watching a shared folder. So technically, what I want to do is be able to print a post script file to that folder and have the artserver (with distiller open all the time) make the pdf.
Now the problem is that every time I print a postscript to that folder on the artserver it shows up as a locked file, and I have to change the permissions on it before distiller will make the pdf. This is starting to get really annoying. I'm running OSX Jag. Any suggestions?

Edit: OK, I have now figured it out. If I log in to that computer (named artserver) as 'artserver', it all works fine. Don't really know why but it works, and not having to open distiller every time I need to make a PDF is really nice. /emoticons/thumbsup.gif
