I have managed to produce a transparent logo in Adobe photoshop but the quality is very poor and the lines are jagged when it is saved as a gif. How can i improve the quality?
Thanks
JOE

I'm assuming you need it for web if you're saving as a .gif. Try saving as a .png ... for some reason I tend to get better quality that way.

PD I dont think he realizes the vector raster thing yet.
It kind of reminds me of this thread on the HOW Forum, it is hillarious, and this guy claimed to be a web designer, you would have basic color theory knowledge then

That How thread got stupid after the first page. I didn't read it. It was obvious trolling. Don't know why they kept it up for what, 16 pages. Why waste server space on crap like that.
There are many excellent web designers out there that don't know squat about print color theory. Doesn't make em bad designers. Just bad print designers. The smart ones know the difference.

I figured most of the words I was thinking would probably be censored. Knob seemed to work on SO MANY levels.

http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/offtopic.gif...but since we were talking about "knobs" and "woodys" I thought I would share.
I was sitting at Ruby Tuesdays with my friends yesterday at lunch and we were talking about how there is no restaurant (atleast in Savannah) that appeals to women in the way that "Hooters" appeals to men. So my friends jokingly decided that we should start up our own restaurant to do this. We were trying to come up with a name and then I came up with "Wanker's". They thought that was hilarious but then I said - Hey wait...we should make the name "Schlong's" because then we can offer the customers "Schlong Dogs" (with slaw and chillie if you like) and "Horn Dogs" etc etc...you get where this is going.
Anyways...it made for interesting conversation and I thought it was pretty funny so I decided to share it with all my twisted friends on GDF!

Since we're talking about good words... I think the word 'Plum' rolls off the tongue quite nicely! :D

This reminds me of a few years ago, I was talking to some friends over the net via voice chat, and we were having fun coming up with alternative 'dirty' names for resturants. I threw out 'Papa Shlongs' for Papa Johns Pizza and that eventually became 'Papa Long Shlong.' One of the people in the chat did a totally awesome pimps voice, cracking us up with phrases like 'At Papa Longshlongs, you get free Skinemax at every table!'
In the comic that I do for fun, I resurrected this idea, made the name 'slightly' less obvious at first glace (Papa Lon'shlong's Pizza), and used it. Definitely good T-shirt potential.
In his first appearance, his phrase was 'Put Papa Lon'shlong's 18-incher in YO MOUTH!' (Pizza)

'flotsam and jetsam'. what a cool phrase. you never just get flotsam or jetsam - always the two for one combo
and 'plinth' is pretty cool too.
