WeaponR - I just started blogging myself when a friend introduced it to me. I find it difficult to sometimes find a subject but I think it gets easier the more comfortable you are with yourself and expressing yourself. Anyhow, I recommend blogger.com even though it is a bit slow. If you have your own webspace then building your own could be a good project too. As far as getting started, I would make a list of topics you want to write about and as you write about them cross them off. Also read others blogs to get an idea of what is out there. The biggest thing is don't be shy. Let it out and say it loud! Good luck!!/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Another thing about blogger - you start out with a template, but you can tweak your code to change things around if you want to . A friend of mine has used all kinds of images and really done a lot with hers. Just fyi.

If you can host your own, I suggest Wordpress. It is an active open source project with many mods available and the people on their forum are very helpful. You can edit the code to have it pretty much do what you want and in the same area you can ask to drop the top bar. I haven't played with the setup too much but I know you can add images and change the layout. Good luck.

ok, it looks like the header is 700 pixels by 123 pixels at 72 dpi.

You could create a new custom header of approximately that size, then upload it to imageshack or some other free hosting site, then edit the html code in your template to display the custom header instead of the standard template.

I don't know how you remove the blogger bar at the top. I wouldn't worry about that if I were you, because by clicking on the 'blogger' icon you can get back to your control panel for the blog.

Besides, you can change your header as often as you want... be creative! The whole point of the blog is to express yourself. I'm sure you'll do a great job on your own.

you have to code it manually. you go to your 'dashboard' where it shows the name of your blog and to the right the little icons for 'new post' and 'change settings' - click 'change settings', select the 'template' tab, and scroll through the code. You will want to add it under the 'profile' section... you can go to my blog, right click and select 'view source' to see how I did it.

I hope that helps... I'm not terribly good at coding myself!

btw, save a copy of your original code in notepad as a text document before you make any changes... that way if anything goes wrong you can restore your original settings!
