i know, Painter 5.0 is a dinosaur, but its all ive got at the moment. i was having problems with my stylus matching up with the canvas, so i decided to reinstall because it seemed the settings were out of wack. my OS was upgraded with Windows 2000 about a year ago but did not have any trouble reinstalling Painterfollowing a drive format. now that i want to reinstall again, it doesnt want to read the setup file. i get a box popping up with
"C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application"
is my version of Painter obsolete with the new OS? im pretty sure i installed Painter again following the initial change to NT and HD format.
can anyone shed some light on my issue?
