I love places like this

<a href="http://jobsearch.monster.com/getjob.asp?JobID=26263560&AVSDM=2005%2D02%2D01+00%3A01%3A01&Logo=1&pg=3&q=art+director&sort_
=dt&vw=b&cy=US&brd=1,1862,1863" target="_blank">jobsearch.monster.com/getjob.asp?JobID=26263560&AVSDM=2005%2D02%2D01+00%3A01%3A01&Logo=1&pg=3&q=art+director&sort_
=dt&vw=b&cy=US&brd=1,1862,1863</a>

$25-35K. ahahaahaha

they want 5-10 years experience for ADs and want to pay you $35k MAX to live in MA (which if any of you have lived there like myself, Tallmike and dorian.. you can't live off of that).

top tier place indeed

I'd love to be making $25-$35K a year. I are confused. /emoticons/blink.gif

It's all about where you live, Patrick. Cost of living there far exceeds what is doable on that salary.

Here is a cost of living caculator

www.homefair.com/homefair/calc/salcalc.html (http://www.homefair.com/homefair/calc/salcalc.html)

Here is Milwaukee to Boston Comparison
www.homefair.com/homefair/servlet/ActionServlet?pid=200&tool=salarycalculator&previousPage=116&cid=homefair&fromState=WI&toState=MA&salary=30000&fromCity=5553000&toCity=2507000&ownrent=rent (http://www.homefair.com/homefair/servlet/ActionServlet?pid=200&tool=salarycalculator&previousPage=116&cid=homefair&fromState=WI&toState=MA&salary=30000&fromCity=5553000&toCity=2507000&ownrent=rent)

about a 25% difference.

You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs on this forum. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bo staff.

25.00 a hour roughly 52,000 a year
35.00 a hour roughly 72,000 a year

Compared to other areas on a few different cost of living websites it is not bad for the area

you should always be looking! keep your resume up to date, and always double check with your references to be sure they know what you're applying for before you give out their names.

use friends, teachers, coworkers, people who know you professionally. I usually give 3 business references and two personal references, but that's probably overkill.
