Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists.... When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence.

I am in Miami. Not too bad here. Although that is subjective.
I don't want to discourage you, but I don't care much for Jax myself.
It's a bit ghetto/redneck for my tastes.
Most of the good jobs are in South Fla (Miami, Lauderdale, Palm Beaches).
Any reason for Jax in particular, or just looking at Florida?

There are jobs there DD...ya just gotta get out the phone book when ya get there!! Aaron (best friend) use to live and Jax, my ex is from there and I have a friend moving there end of May. I use to go to Jax every other weekend when Aaron lived there. I have checked out the market there alot in the past...but I think your best bet is to get a phone book from there and call around.
As far as the city - Jax is..OK..I suggest the 2 of you living on the outskirts of town bc its a lil more settled there. There are some nice neighborhoods near Mayport too...of course my ex's house is in one of em..grrr! LOL! I'm glad I didn't move there bc the traffic can be REAL congested but you are in Atlanta now and probobly use to that! You guys need to go visit and really check out the area.

I live in jax and am a graphic designer. I have been in the field for over 4 yearse and unfortunatly layoffs are inevitable. Ive been un employed for 3 months here and am having a hard time finding work. Luckly, jacksonville has a TON of posting here which is a plus to the area...never a lack of positions, however the abundance of designers applying for those positions due to economy shrinkage makes it very competitive. I would recomend learning web otherwise you will haver a hard time finding work as a basic graphic artist. Its unfortunate that companies now require extra knowlege and skills never before combined in the field and for a fraction of salary as well. Good luck in your search! I love jax, i moved here from ohio 2 years ago. Its a growing city which is great, but the economy doesnt help matters.
Try:
Craigslist.com/jacksonville
good luck!
