Please help! I am designing a logo which has 2 U Pantone colors, one of which I cannot find in my Pantone swatches library in Illustrator 9, green pantone 7483 U...seems like the highest patnone numbers in my library dont exceed 5,000.....any ideas?

my only suggestion is to try the Coated PMS swatches.

It is under pantone Solid Uncoated. If it is not there you have something messed up with your swatches

Are you by any chance on a PC?
Illy 9 for PC doesn't have the new series chips (at least I don't think it does).
You may have to go to Pantone and get the CMYK equivalents from their support site.
85/0/100/55 I think.

And while everyone is on the subject once again,
Pantone changed their color formulae and added to them in the year 2000. Throw away your old chip books. Be very careful when using any program that doesn't have Pantone numbers above the 5000 series. If you use old chip books, SEND THE CHIP with your job or tell us you are using an OLD book.
Pet peeve of my life.
