I always think that the most special gifts are the ones made especially for you. My sweetie took the words to 'our song' and made me a beautiful framed piece in PS with photos he had taken and then overlaid the lyrics. I keep it on my desk with his photo so I can look at it all day.

back when I USED to celebrate holidays, my bf got a present for any anniversary, valentines day, or anything that came along.

it wasn't always something "romantic" as you would expect from the stereotype... Don't buy your girl's affection with gifts and money. I've done that in the past and have been walked all over since...until the breakup anyway. Honestly,Valentine's can eat it. It's a Hallmark money spending pit that can go straight to hell. I hate Valentine's. I would rather eatspoiled tobasco saucethan buy a loved one another gift because it's "Valentine's Day"...Birthdays fine, Christmas fine, Valentine's Day kiss my ass. If we buy something once,it seems like we're needy/clingy *******s who are trying to manipulate the girl into getting laid for the night. Nice guys finish last, which I've learned the hardway, which is why I'm such an ******* now. Instead, go out for a nice dinner and ask thatshe fronts the bill, or at least split it.
