Anybody else's weekend starting out on the wrong foot?

I just did my federal taxes and I owe money, just like I did last year. $200 isn't that much, but when that's equivalent to almost a week's worth of (part time) pay it gets ya MAD! I can't wait to see how much I have to pay on the Cahhhh-li-for-nya taxes.

One of the stupid cats (who aren't mine) wiped his a$$ on my carpet. And I stepped in it. Barefoot. I miss my dog. She's too stupid to think to wipe things up on the carpet /emoticons/biggrin.gif

My dad and I are tearing into my car's cooling system tomorrow to figure out why it's overheating. Could be a simple clamp to tighten or multitude of expensive parts to replace.

I can't get all the samples I need for for my homework because companies don't want to hand blank letterhead over to a college student (I don't blame them). I'm printing up some stuff for me as a freelancer because I think it's neat looking and being one item short is better than being two short.

Good news is I got the sticker and t-shirt screened with the logo I designed for a car forum I'm on. They look awesome! They're supposed to go up for sale within the next month or so, and hopefully the logo goes up on the webpage soon. I've also sent out quote requests for a booklet that my friend wants to buy a healthy quantity of.

Damn it ... I actually missed a party, where I was planning to meet a big 'potential' client. I had though it was in a week, but the really pancake thing is, that party thrower tried to call me early Saturday morning to confirm when I'd be going along, but because my damn mobile phone battery died on me, I was not only completely unaware that the party was earlier than I'd though, but I'd also let the party thrower down.

My server's motherboard also dies too ... so ... the weekend sucked.

I have a '95 Civic coupe. It's a good little car, but is getting old. My dad poked around the cooling system and said that the clamp that tightens the radiator hose to the bottom of the radiator was way too loose and had a bunch of crud (ie hard water build up) all over it. The radiator was replaced in 2003, so it can't be that. I'll find out on Friday if that was the fix. My 6 year old half brother is so funny...he hates it when I pick him up from school some Fridays and I have to turn the heater on in the ensuing traffic. 'Shelle...I'm gonna make you a ROBOT that'll put cool juice in your car and you won't be hot!' The way he says it is so funny because he has trouble enunciating things and stutters when he really, really wants to tell you something.

I needed just simple letterheads, nothing specific. It's for a branding class and my 'pet' for the semester is an airline I named after the big storm that rolled through here in January (Pineapple Express). I emailed like 15 airlines and they're all pancakers...except American Trans Air (ATA). ATA was the only airline that sent me stuff and some of the rest were kind of nasty in the response to the email. ATA is going to get a nice note from me.

I'm short two stationary packages, but I don't care. I'm gonna tell my teacher the truth that companies didn't want to hand their letterhead over. I got all the others from work, family, and friends, but all of those people don't even add up to 8 /emoticons/ibf-iamstupid.gif

Things are slightly better. We cleaned the carpets with the big Bissel on Saturday so the poop's gone. I've got some fun stuff going on this weekend and no Monday night class next week!

Now, if I could just crank out these logos people want faster I'd be A LOT happier!
