ok guys, i have worked myself through the entire project with a week left now. here are some of the designs i have worked up. please critique! i haveposted the brief aswel so you know what is required!

They seem a bit biased towards the XX chromosone gender...Maybe that's what the poem is about, but it seems more like a velentines day card style.

sketch comps would have been nice to see first,
still needs some work but I would say #2 has the most potential, on all the other ones the type is not working, type on 2 needs some work to
1,3, and 4 dont work.
Some more sketching and brain storming will help on some ideas, and help trying to fit the topic a little more, I think the art and the poem are competing to much. Try a few other ideas, only really two ideas up there they are just different versions of each other

it would feel really personal if you did your own font...I know that font, and I see it all the time, and it loses it's personability. You won't lose that much time doing it that way, and the effect will be much stronger I promise. Refer to Steven Heller and Mirko Illic's new book on handwritten type.

I like the type in the second image, but that black rose is not working for me. It seems to kill the mood and takes away from the poem. Oh, try not to get too busy with the type as well.
what about this guys?
i think i need to work on my type in spare time, i can never get good type ever on any project, my weak spot i think!
