Submitted by Bob-An Internet friend of mine swears this is true, as it happened to him, in his office. He is the de facto computer repairman, only because he has seen the inside of one. One day, his boss asked him to do what he could to repair the cup-holder on the front of his personal PC. A cursory inspection revealed a CD-ROM tray warped beyond repair, and an expensive CD-ROM drive, useless.

I have been a manager for McDonald's for several years & have worked with some pretty stupid people. The best however, is Amanda in Dothan, AL. One day several years ago we had a small 'blizzard'. We were very busy and understaffed. I had seated a customer who was waiting on a Big Breakfast (2 eggs, biscuit, sausage, & hash browns). When the order was complete I placed it on a tray & asked Amanda to carry it out for me. 5 minutes later I still had not seen her return from the lobby. I looked outside and she was actually out there knocking on windows looking for the customer. As if this were not stupid enough when I explained that I would have placed it into a bag if it was to go out to a car, She wanted to know if I thought she should put the hash brown (NOW COVERED IN SNOW) back into the vat for a minute before taking it out!!! Amanda was 16 I hope she's a little smarter now!!!

One day as a lady got off from work, she went outside to the parking lot, but couldn't find her car in her usual spot. She began to worry and search the parking lot and the began to panic when she still couldn't find it. She then went outside to call the police to report the car stolen. Later, she got a ride home and as she was going into the garage, she noticed her car. She then wondered why the people who stole her car parked it in her garage. She then went inside the house to tell her husband the news. Her husband just kind of looked at her and reminded her that he drove her to work that morning.

A nice but easily flustered older lady in our office one day believed she had locked her keys in her car. Befuddled, she recruited the building's security guard to help her. While the security guard looked at the driver's side front door and considered what to do, the lady realized the back door on the driver's side was still unlocked. 'That's not supposed to be unlocked!' she exclaimed. In a flash she opened the door, pushed in the lock and slammed the door before the security guard could interrupt. Truly a true story.

They really do scare me ... stupid people. One moment the world is fine, then ... in walks a right stupid person. Not only do they look stupid, but they have to put their talent on display. They are just such showoffs. 24 hour showoffs.

OMG, and you think those are stupid? You guys really need to come visit me at work!

I share an office with the IT guys, who are usually quite cool (just in case any of them are reading this). Anyway they got a call one day from a guy saying 'I can't get this monitor to work, I think something's seriously wrong with it' So off they went in their usual healpful manner, and came back 2 minutes later wetting themselves laughing. After a few minutes we managed to get out of them that this guy hadn't even tried the on/off power button on the front of the monitor. Needless to say, that was the cause of the problem. And this guy manages quite a section at my work. It worries me greatly.

lol! that's classic,

reminds me of a time when i was taking Intro to computers class at night school quite awhile ago.

This one girl flustered and frustrated almost in tears was crying for the teacher saying' i don't know what's wrong with this computer, i'm following the directions it say's but i can't find the right buttons'

-teacher 'so what seems to be the problem?

-student 'it says to hit the 'any key' I can't find it anywhere? /emoticons/frusty.gif

I remember the first time I encountered a real computer (non games console) ... I was always baffled about typing in silly commands, and whether it was the monitor, or the computer, that needed turning on/off first. How I laugh when I think back at it.

Ok, I know this is a touch off topic, but what is it with male co-workers? I mean, not only do I have to sit facing a guy who continually has to 'touch and rearrange' himself, but when men come into my office and stand next to my desk, with their items to rearrange at my eye level, and then proceed to rearrange themselves stood next to me, I just feel ill. And it's not like I can do it back, because that'd be too much fun for them. I just don't get it?

Must be a shirt and tie thing, as I always see suit wearers doing it ... never notice it with more casually (and comfortably) dressed men - my self included. Suits generally are very uncomfortable ... they're not practical wear for long periods of time especially ... otherwise, athletes would wear te mwouldn't they!?

As for re-arranging the luch box area ... well, this is a thing alot of men do more frequentl yas they get older ... like picking their behind, and sniffing it ... or maybe that is just reserved for factory and lower-class workers!?

Ya.. I'm with you WW... I think that is the most discusting thing... my bf does it alllll the time.. when we're at friends or in public... it's grose.. and he picks his behind too... but he don't smell it... guess I have to watch for then in several years to come.

Ewwww Tyger - no need!!!

Yeah Kink - it's just not nice. I mean if you're not comfortable, then change your trousers huh? If my bra isn't that comfy, I don't go shuggling round the office to make it better? No! I chuck it and buy a new one! Trouble is, most of the offenders don't even know they do it, it's one of those subconscious things!
