Those of you that know Kink, will no doubt be suprised that a beatiful GDF lady such as her self, has been branded as 'average' and generally ... not the hottie that she is.

So, I say we support Kink, and compliment her as she deserves.

I disagree Magus ... he was ridiculing. He saw making fun ... how'd he put it ... 'I saw her pic. I ain't impressed.' ... importantly, that remark seemed to come from nowhere, and as such, in my opnion, gives (what I could agree a harmless opinion) a sinsiter tone. As such, I regard it as ridicule.

But, I do agree that it has got out of control now ... in fact, it is because it wasn't BLATANT NASTINESS, that I refraned from using Moe's name in this posting. This very post, is basically to alert people, that someone should not feel the need to change their avatar, on the ground that someone made negative (and unneccessary) remarks toward someone. And as such, I feel (and it seems others do too) that Kink shouldn't have felt the need to change her avatar, plain and simple.

As opposed to inflating ourselves into thinking we're something we're not. So when someone comes along and questions the manner in which we percieve ourselves, we flip out like ninjas on them and try to kill them? This is a normal human reaction, but I'm sticking to my guns here.

Morea, if someone in real life said to you in person, that they didn't find you to be gloriously hot, but rather average in looks, what would be the big deal to that?

I ask the same question to all of you.

As for being friendly, I could probably dig up threads where every menber of GDF has been far from friendly, with a 100% chance of finding one for each member.

And Kink...being yourself means being confident about WHO you are. So if someone says something that doesn't jive with what you believe, that's too damn bad. Welcome to the world. Again, all of you are also bassing all of this one one picture/avatar viewed on the 'net. I am the most un-photogenic person on the earth...were all of you too base your opinions of my attractiveness on my photos, i'd be doomed. But I'm fully aware of this, and I honestly don't care. Things are different in real life. That was my point Kink. The way you are talking you seem as though you're something else in the real. Be yourself all the time.

EVERYONE has the right to express themselves. I think being GD'ers we over-react when someone takes a different stance on us, or our work. Even constructive criticism about pieces we've done can get our back's arched...so the same criticism, about our personal selves tends to cause a more severe reaction.

Relax. You have your friends, your families, your pets and your significant others who love you. Stop getting so pissy and worked up about someone who, chances are, you'll never meet simply because they don't find you attractive...this isn't highschool.

I don't particularly care what anyone thinks of my looks in all honesty. I am confident enough in myself that I don't need validation from others. But then, I don't really think that 'looks' are really what the big issue is here.

The problem is that this particular individual has a history - if a brief one - of deliberately trying to provoke conflict here.

I don't believe for an instant that moe is some 16 year old who is intrigued by graphic design. No 16 year old tries to justify his actions by saying "hey, I'm just a kid!" and no male over the age of 12 would claim (true or not!) that he had never seen breasts.
