Hi everyone, I recently upgraded from quark 4 to quark 6 and have encountered a problem.
When I do a 'save as', quark doesn't take me to the folder that the file was opened in. Instead it takes me to the folder I was previously in, causing me to re-navigate my massive folder tree.
I know it might not sound like that big a deal, but due to my nature of business, this is quite a headache. It is something that quark 4 did automatically and I 'save as' many, many times each day.
Does anyone have ideas of how to fix this?
Thanks for your help ~ Adam

I am pretty sure there is a setting for this in the preferences. check there, or trash your preference file for quark and see if it works then

It is definately in the preferences. I chose that option and after a few days I went back and deselected it.
FYI, if you are working on a server and open a 4.1 qxd in quark 6, when you save, save it to your desktop. If you save a 4.1 as a version 6 file, ALL of you image files will magically disappear. This has happened to me and several others that I know of that use Quark. I believe Quark actually lists this a a bug, not sure. Does anyone know if 6.5 fixed this?

I've been through the preferences before, but I'll check again, I could have overlooked it.
Jimeda, I'm using 6.5 and haven't run across that problem. I'm guessing they either fixed it for 6.5 or could it be a communication issue with of server? I'm using a windows 2000 server with mac computers
and no that server wasn't my idea /emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

OMG...I'm a moron. Know what I did? I opened up Jimeda's screen shot, and when I was done looking at it, I was trying to hit the 'X' in the upper right corner to 'close the window'. Ummm...It's a screenshot magnus you idiot!
