I used Corel Draw a couple of years ago, and used a tool to create paterns
the tool (name i cant remember) was infinately alterable) to create hundreds of paterns but i cant remember which version i was. ( i think it could have been Corel Draw8 but i am not sure) So my question is - Does anyone know which version its is, and what the name of the tool is?

Thanks Alpa.

I think you're probably referring to Corel's Texture fill. This fractal-based texture generator has been around since version 5, I believe. It's pretty cool. There's also a separate, standalone utility called Corel Texture-- it's very good at creating multi-layered, fractal based wood, stone, fabric and a few other classes of patterns. I think that came in around version 7.

And of course-- there's other interesting fills available: pattern fill allows either 2, full colour fills, or raster fills. Postscript fills have some fascinating vector-based patterns---and virtually any pattern can also be used in texturizing situations like transparency.

CorelDraw 11 has: Tools,Create, Pattern, then Type:Two color,Full color. Then: Resolution: Low, medium, High. Then select the pattern area you want. Don't know if that helped?
